About Drifting Mania
Drifting Mania is a one-touch drift game with a clever twist: you swing round corners on a rope. As you approach a bend, you tap and hold to hook the car onto it, and the car slides round in a smooth arc. Release at the right moment and you shoot off along the next straight. Release too early or too late and you leave the road. It is a rope drift game that is simple to learn and very hard to put down.
The road is endless and colourful, lined with palm trees and sharp turns. Every drift earns money, which unlocks and customises your car from 13 options, and there are 30 achievements to collect along the way. As the game says, there are no second chances in a drifter's life.
How to play Drifting Mania
The one control
Click and hold (or tap and hold on a touch screen) as you reach a corner to hook onto the rope and swing round. Release to straighten up.
Timing
The skill is all in the release. Let go when the car is pointing along the next straight. Hold too long and you swing into the verge; let go too soon and you fly off the outside.
Money, cars and achievements
Each run earns money based on how far you get. Spend it on new cars and customisation, and work through the 30 achievements.
Tips for longer runs
- Watch the exit, not the corner. Release when the car lines up with the next straight.
- Hold early, not late. Hooking on a fraction early gives you a smoother swing.
- Stay relaxed. Tense presses lead to mistimed releases.
- Expect sharper turns. The further you go, the tighter the corners become.
- Treat it as rhythm. After a few runs, the hold-release pattern becomes almost musical.
How it compares with other one-touch drift games
Like many one-touch drifting games, Drifting Mania uses a single input and an endless road. The difference is the rope: instead of switching direction, each hold swings you round one corner, so timing the release is everything. If you enjoy that style of game, you will feel at home here.
Unlocking all 13 cars
The 13 cars are mostly about style, so choose the ones you like the look of. Every run adds to your money, even a short one, so keep playing and the garage fills up naturally. Achievements give you extra goals, such as reaching a certain distance, which is a good way to measure your progress.
