About Police Chase Drifter
Police Chase Drifter combines two of the most popular kinds of car game: drifting and police chases. Seen from above, your car races through the streets with police cars in pursuit. To get away, you need to keep your speed through the corners, and the quickest way to do that is to drift. It is one of the few police chase games where drifting is the main skill.
Along the way you collect money bags and aim for the finish line. The money buys new cars, each faster than the last, which helps you stay ahead of the police in later levels.
How to play Police Chase Drifter
Controls
Use the up and down arrows or W and S to accelerate and brake, and the left and right arrows or A and D to steer.
Escaping the police
Police cars chase you and try to block your way. Keep moving: if you stop or crash, they catch up quickly.
Money bags and the finish
Collect the money bags scattered along the route, then reach the finish line to complete the level. Spend your money in the garage on faster cars.
Tips for a clean getaway
- Drift, do not brake. Sliding through a corner keeps more speed than braking hard.
- Take the money only when it is safe. A detour for a bag is not worth getting caught.
- Use the top-down view. You can see the police coming, so steer away from them early.
- Upgrade when you can. A faster car makes the later levels much easier.
- Learn each level. The route to the finish rewards players who remember the corners.
Balancing money and safety
Police Chase Drifter gives you two goals at once: escape and collect. The money bags are what fund faster cars, but they are often placed just off the safest line. A good habit is to only go for bags that are on your racing line or one short drift away. Bags that need a U-turn or a stop are rarely worth the risk, especially when several police cars are close behind.
When to buy a new car
A faster car is the biggest upgrade you can make. If a level keeps ending with the police catching you on the straights, it is time to save up for the next car rather than trying the same level again and again.
Reading the top-down view
The overhead camera is your biggest advantage. Unlike a chase seen from behind the car, you can see police cars approaching from the side and plan an escape route before they reach you. Glance at the edges of the screen, not just at your own car, and you will spot the danger early.
